THE BENEFITS OF OUR STRUCTURES IN THE COLDER MONTHS

It’s that time of year again, the days are getting shorter and the pumpkins are stacking up in the shops, even the little munchkin pumpkins.

Normally during this time of year the camping/glamping season has or is just about to become dormant, much like a dormouse, after having a full summer of guests and is now ready to sleep it off till the spring season.

But here at Tree Tents we think that instead of putting your sites into dormant mode, why not create structures that are warm enough for a guest to become a ‘glamping’ dormouse and have a snuggly staycation in true hygge style.

With this in mind, all our structures have optional extras that help them to run all year round and here is a little summary on what we offer to help keep things cosy.

Tree Tent

Nothing quite beats the magic of hanging out in a woodland canopy and being able to look down on the glittering morning frost before starting the day.

So what do we offer to help make the Tree Tent the perfect nest up in the trees?

To start off, all our Tree Tents come with a marine grade water-tight canvas skin which can tackle all weathers and keep you dry. We then offer a cold weather insulation set which is a multi-foil insulation that goes behind the 100% melton wool lining. Even just looking at the quilted wool lining makes you feel all cosy.

We also offer micro woodburners (supplied by Anevay) which fit beautifully inside the Tree Tent. Just pop in some eco logs and sit back and bask in the warm orange glow. The woodburners we use in our structures ensure that you can quickly make a place toasty and snug in a matter of minutes.

We also offer electric heating options as well as a traditional wood stove.

The Fuselage

We are all aware of the ‘classic’ cabin in the woods, maybe a log cabin placed in a picturesque snowy landscape… Well our version of this is The Fuselage cabin. It is the perfect homely refuge for lovers of the outdoors. The aluminium outer shell beautifully reflects it’s surroundings or it can be cladded in wooden slats to get that more nostalgic cabin in the woods vibe.

What keeps it toasty? The Fuselage is wrapped in a high-performance insulation, triple layer thermal skin system which ensures the warmest of stays in the worst weather.

Like the Tree Tent, all our cabin structures have the optional extra of having a micro wood-burner installed. But with the Fuselage there is also the option of having a small kitchen where you can boil the kettle after a cold walk and sit back hugging a mug in hand, looking out of the window while having those fingers warm up.

But don’t just take our word for it… We also know that the Fuselage and Tree Tent can keep toasty on a very cold night as we have them installed in places like Sweden where it hits the chilly minuses and it is great seeing them beautifully settle into the snowy landscapes.

The Okra Dining Shelter

The popularity of outdoor dining has risen in the last couple of years but this doesn’t mean it is only for the warmer months…

The Okra Dining Shelter has been designed so you and guests can enjoy an intimate all weathered, sheltered space while still enjoying the outdoors. We offer optional extras like marine grade canvas end panels (same canvas we use for our Tree Tent) which helps to keep the elements out. There are also other ways to keep the pod toasty, for example heaters or mini bio-ethanol table fire places for a start. Or simple little hacks of using heated cushions and blankets.

We also offer different sizes to choose from (2, 4 and 6 person seating space) to help extend your outdoor dining season!

We offer different options for The Okra Dining Shelter lighting.

With the glamping market continuously evolving, could investing in a structure that can be opened all year round be the way forward?

By opening your site during the winter months and renting out your structures to guests also means you can increase your yearly profit intake. All our structures are made bespoke so we are also very happy to look into other ways that are not listed above that will make sure your structure is the perfect stay during those chilly days. Even adding luxury extras like hot tubs are always a winner.

We have another exciting new structure, The Birdhouse, which will also have all the warming optional extras to keep you toasty.  Stay tuned for that!
