Askersund Outdoor launched the new Tree Tents at their 2017 festival with the first guests staying for the annual event. While just four were lucky enough to stay the night, over 9,000 people attended the event, and according to Askersund Outdoor, the Tree Tent’s striking design turned heads across the three days.
But Michael Malmborg, Project Director at Askersund Outdoor, adds that it’s not enough to simply turn heads. You need to back that up with a high-performance product that delivers comfort as well as a unique experience; keeping guests coming back for more.
“We wanted to offer accommodation that is an adventure in itself, enhancing the experience on our beautiful island. But after a long day spent biking, hiking, kayaking and exploring, we need to ensure guests are cosy and comfortable next to a fire as the sun goes down. And that is exactly what we can provide with our new Base Camp Tree Tents.”
The Tree Tents will stand up to the harsh climes of Sweden with their new hard-wearing synthetic, but eco-friendly, outer cover that is completely water, snow and wind proof. Askersund Outdoor have also opted to upgrade to our 100% wool liner and multi-foil insulation and have added our perfectly sized micro wood burner to ensure guests stay extra warm and cosy as the temperatures drop.
When we last got in touch with Michael at Askersund Outdoor, to see how things were going at Base Camp, he was so run off his feet with bookings he had no time to chat! So we suspect proof is in the pudding and the Tree Tents are proving a hit!
