Our first TT installation and what an amazing setting…. Red Kite Barn lies nestled within 80 acres of private rolling hills and forest and was traditionally restored and rescued back from nature by its owners. Looking to further the available accomodation on the large site the woodland seemed a great place (considering this covered most of it) and so build of our fist ever Tree Tent commenced.
The Tree Tent sits in a small valley at the fringes of a tall pine filled forest and next to an idylicc running stream. The sloping site give the perfect position for the Tree Tent – giving a good height to look out at the surrounding hills and countryside with a full facilities deck behind hosting an open air hot water shower, dining and cooking area.
The site lies near the Welsh market town of Builth Wells, famed for the annual Royal Welsh show and Spring festival. The 80 acres of grounds and woodland are bordered by further National Trust woodland and is a haven for walkers, twitchers, mountain biking and amateur astronomers being in a secluded valley miles from the nearest main roads. All this and with the oldest pub in Powys near by for some excellent food and drink.

The Red Kite Tree Tent makes a great getaway for couples wanting to get away from it all and relax in an amazing environment.

The build was our first prototype of the Tree Tent and throughout the process not only did we have to deal with the design challenges of rigging to kinetic structures (Trees) and creating a lightweight structure that could adapt to this we also had the great privilege to have C4 and the Amazing Spaces camera crew following the whole thing – no pressure then!
