Do you remember whittling your first stick? Your first home-made bow and arrow?
Or what about the first time you gutted a fish you had caught yourself? For a Norwegian, it is most likely that he or she would have used a Helle knife. Whereas many knife manufacturers today depend on automated production and large product lines, Helle depend on quality and production through craftsmanship. Since 1932, Helle knives represented the very highest traditions of quality in Norwegian craftsmanship and so we’re proud to have them in our camp.
Despite its aesthetic qualities, a Helle knife is not made to be an ornament. It is made to be used.
The thick spined blade is perfect for a rugged camp knife and made of triple laminated carbon steel – the black finish of the heat treatment is left on the sides for traditional rustic look. The handle is very subtly shaped for comfort and control suiting a variety of grips and it comes with the traditional Scandinavian leather sheath and our knife care booklet.
A knife that will last generations with a great history.
